Duham's Water Putty

I've got a project I am working on that needs some added strength and contemplated using Foam Coat from Hot Wire Foam Factory.  However, not everything I plan to cover is foam, as some will be cardboard and some foamboard (with paper) and I want a consistent finish. While I understand there are various additives I can mix with the Foam Coat to improve it's binding ability, the process becomes more costly and the results I've seen while searching the web haven't convinced me it is the right way to go for a mixed-medium project.  With that I mind I asked around and a friend pointed me toward Durham's Water Putty, so I'm going to give that a try.  Here's a link to a project on wowplanes.com covering foam wings which helped me make the decision to try it.  I'll share the results as the project moves forward.
