Pizza Box Supports for Gaming
Someone recently asked me about representing flying figures on the game table. They were having trouble coming up with ways to inexpensively deal with showing various altitudes in three dimensions. My suggestion was picking up a package of pizza box supports. They can be used simply to represent being above the fray but can also be stacked, each one denoting ten feet in height, to deal with multi-layered combat in flight. One can get a bag of one hundred of them through Amazon for less than a sawbuck!

Clear Map Coverings/Protectors
On a recent EN World thread, someone was looking for options to cover maps (or battle maps) to protect them during use. The usual ideas of laminating them or using Plexiglas were suggested but a few other options were found. One option was the Ultra Pro Top Loader, as seen here on Amazon. I've seen one of these at my FLGS, Games Plus in Mount Prospect, IL, and it looks like a winner. Another option found was the Alvin Clear Vinyl Blueprint Cover as seen on engineersupply.com here which seems reasonably priced. A third option, seen on grafixplastics.com here, were a number of overlay ideas. Whichever way one goes, it's good to protect your maps so they are with you for years to come!
