Pogre's Miniature and Model Thread Milestone
I've mentioned Pogre's Miniature and Model thread here before and likely many already know of its existence on EN World, but as of yesterday a new milestone has been reached. In 2012, Pogre has managed to paint (and paint well, IMO) one hundred figures. The thread has been going since August of 2003, so in eight months there will be another milestone achieved, that of being around for a decade, but for now we'll simply shout "Huzzah and Congrats" to Pogre for this fine feat and his great efforts. If you haven't already, bookmark that thread for browsing when you're looking for color schemes, modeling ideas, or just some inspiration to get you to pick up a brush. See more here!

Nail Decals for Minis Says Doctor Faust
Over on ThePaintingClinic YouTube channel, Doctor Faust suggests grabbing standard water transfer decals that get used for finger (or toe) nails to decorate your miniatures. Spoiler: They aren't all hearts, flowers, and rainbows. Enjoy!
Note: The esteemed Doctor Faust has an update he is sharing around the web -
Note: The esteemed Doctor Faust has an update he is sharing around the web -
Not everything I say is 100% guaranteed to work. Take in point the recent video on nail decals. I ordered more from a few different eBay sellers. The ones I ordered from lstarstyle or Lucky Star Style are in fact printed on extremely thin clear plastic instead of standard decal paper, meaning they have a thick edge and don't bend around small folds. Fairly useless for minis. I admit I didn't buy samples from EVERY seller on eBay before making that video and I have no idea how common are these "plastic" decals. If you ordered decals from some random seller of off eBay and get these useless decals I apologize. I had no idea of their existence up until now. Buyer beware.

Casualty Miniatures
Someone on Facebook was recently in search of some miniatures that represented dead figures. A while ago, a local friend and I split a pack of Old Glory figures called "The Slain Casualty Pack" which were planned to use a markers for a wargame though we switched gears before implementing that solution. In any event, quite useful as dungeon dressing or to denote wargame units that have been injured or depleted. See more here!

Crappy Birthday Card Game
Some time back, my friend Natalie brought a humorous card game to our regular game night called Crappy Birthday which we had some fun playing. The description from BoardGameGeek.com is as follows:
Crappy Birthday is designed to be taken as a gift to a party instead of a bottle of wine or a 6-pack of beer. The goal of Crappy Birthday is to get people talking, laughing, and having a good time as quickly as possible. Don't be surprised if some people dislike the same gift that other people at the table love, because the gifts were designed to start fun and interesting conversations. Crappy Birthday is simple enough that a group of non-gamers can read the rules and start playing within a few minutes. Or if people do not want to play at the party, they can have fun by simply looking at the cards and laughing at the pictures and funny concepts.Read and see more here!
